My personal experience was that I got pregnant immediately after removal both times. I had the hormonal iud and the copper one. But it can take up to year to happen. I will say the removal was not bad at all compared to the insertion. I removed two on my own (don’t do that please😂) and not painful.
My friend had hers taken out and she got pregnant immediately. That being said just bc you conceived 5 years ago doesn’t mean you will necessarily be able to esp depending on your age. I suggest (along with the egg whisperer Dr Aimee listen to her podcast) that you get your levels checked AMH FSH. Good luck to you

It can take up to a year! I had two removed working on the second now. But after the first took less than 3 weeks. But know it can take up to a year
