Yesss! I’ve been going to one! And an acupuncturist. There are certain acupressure points that can help with a breech position, I think. But my chiro is a god-send.
@Lauren does it ever feel a little painful or pressure when they push on your back like they’re pushing on baby a little bit?
@Chloe was your baby breech at all?
@Lia no but my chiropractor has a special chair thing I lean on.. I’m basically in cat/ cow with my chest on a flat surface…no pressure at all on baby
@Lauren hmm interesting. My chiro has me laying on my stomach with a pregnancy pillow that has like a hole in it but I still have a bit of pressure
@Lia my Chiro has been in business for about 40 years now and has a lot of experience in maternity… he isn’t Webster certified.. but that’s becuase that wasn’t a thing in the 80/90s as much as people freak out about it now.. I don’t care cause I know he knows what he’s doing but he has special devices for maternity which I think chiros should be using- a maternity pillow wouldn’t be enough for me
Yes. Chiropractor is everything! Also Do Not lounge or lay on your back! Lying on your back can cause baby to flip and become breech. Use birthing ball to bounce and do pelvic tilts. Sit forward or lay on side. Shift sides with pillow between your knees for hip support
I’ve been seeing chiros for 15 years, and switched to a prenatal one around 11 weeks (currently 35 + 5), and I swear that & pelvic floor pt are the only reasons I’ve been pain free & able to stay active the whole time. Highly recommend!
Yes, I've gone to the chiropractor for all of my pregnancies so far although I didn't start going consistently until I found out that my baby was breech at 33 weeks with my first one. after that we did regular chiropractic care and Spinning Babies and she flipped before my next appointment. This pregnancy my baby was transverse at 30 weeks but I started going to the chiropractor more frequently, tried to be more mindful of my posture and frequently did certain moves that I found on youtube to help and encourage baby to flip and he is head down now. You've got plenty of time! Try not to stress about it.
@Heidi that’s super encouraging thank you!
Been seeing a chiropractor for 13 years so I just never stopped 35 weeks now and been going just as normal
