My doctor advised that cutting dairy when BF, it can take upto 3-4 weeks with some people for it to leave Mum’s system completely. We had to give up breast feeding as our little boy couldn’t even tolerate the natural lactose from breast milk 😓. They said it’s not very common, but something to be aware of …. we’re now on our third or fourth formula and starting to do better 🤞🏻. The breathing problems were just so scary 😓. Hope you find a resolution soon 🤞🏻.
Things labelled as “may contain” are ok, but you do have to cut everything with dairy as an ingredient, not just milk/cheese/ butter. So cakes, pastries, lots of crisps, ready meals like curries.. I think I did it for about 6 weeks before reintroducing but did see some improvement after 3 weeks. I then also had to cut soya to get her fully OK. (She’s now almost 2, so been a while!)
Following because im on the same boat (just cut dairy 3 days ago and stool have no improvement), fortunately no blood seen with naked eye but appears for the sample test
