Spit up ??

Does anyone’s baby spit up a lot after being fed/burped ? Every time my baby is fed(breast fed or bottle fed) and burped she tends to spit up a lot even after an hour after eating? I’m not sure if it can be reflux? Is there anything I can do about it? I’ve been told it’s normal because she’s growing but it’s been going on for a while now. Sometimes it seems like she spits up a good amount of what she ate too.

Yes this is considered normal until 6-7 months of age. Their lower esophageal sphincter (entry into their stomachs) doesn’t develop as a muscle until then

Yes my son had reflux and it was awful especially when I was out somewhere.. I’d get people staring at me and making me feel bad… nothing helped until I weaned him. ( weaned him early as advised from midwife and health visitor)

I found that feeding my baby while holding her so she’s sitting straight up, and burping her very frequently while pace feeding really helped. I also keep her upright for an hour after eating.

Yea my daughter was in and out of the hospital cuz it freaked me out so bad lol she had colic and acid reflux Stopped around the time she could start sitting up unassisted if I remember correctly
