crying all the time -silent reflux?

my 5 week old cries all the time unless he has got the boob, which i’m sure he is using for comfort half the time. as soon as he is off he starts screaming and is inconsolable apart from maybe 2 x 20minute periods in the morning. i think he has silent reflux as his stomach is constantly gurgling, has wet sounding hiccups, struggling to burp, chokes/gags a lot and hates being put in his back and if he is sounds like he is struggling. what have people found that works? we are currently using detrinox but he choke on the liquid as it’s so thick. but i hate the uncontrollable screaming, maxes me so sad for him 🥺

This is exactly what my 2 week old is like atm I need anything that helps too xx

We're the same, haven't been able to find anything that works. Tried infant gaviscon, lanzoprazole, infacol :(

Same as my 3 week old, haven't found anything that works yet. It's so stressful

We’ve started my 4 week old on infacol and I’ve also introduced a dummy - as that’s just been settling her more. She’s definitely a lot more comfortable once settling herself! Trapped gas apparently does last for too long so I hope it passes soon!!

Try to remove all dairy from your diet for 2 weeks. If no change remove wheat. If no change remove nuts. If no change remove seafood. My son had this x 100. Doctors put him on renetadine for a year. Thank god my adhd self rarely remembered to give it to him. The medicine is now linked to cancer. He had 2 swallow studies done as well. Anyway if you truly suspect acid reflux ask your pediatrician. For my son who is now 5 and just now had a food allergy panel done, it’s common foods that he’s allergic to. That cause internal inflammation and in turn cause lots of discomfort and pain. A dairy milk allergy shows up as acid reflux. Smithicone/ gas drops work wonders. Explore different feeding positions where baby is upright. Keep baby upright 20-30 minutes after feeding. Also is baby pooping daily?
