What does early labour contractions feel like?

Out for dinner this evening and on the drive home I started to get sore tightenings across my stomach. Lasting about 40ish seconds and 17/18 mins apart. So far my braxton hicks have been painless and these tightenings had me wincing a little. No other symptoms as of yet, no bloody show, no waters breaking, so very doubtful it's full on labour but the fact there's a pattern is making me think it's more than braxton hicks. Had lots of pressure yesterday evening where I couldn't walk but relived today.

It's really difficult to say, I've been having painful tightenings on and off for weeks now where I've thought, right this is it, and nothings started 🤦‍♀️

My braxton hicks are getting more painful since baby engaged her head, with lots of pressure in my pelvis. Plus they can have a pattern (no matter what midwives will tell you). My early labour felt just like this but with period pains on top. They just got stronger and more painful. As long as they ease off it's most likely not labour, just your body getting ready x

My early labour contractions were so painful I couldn't walk or talk through them. Like period pains but 10000 times worse

This was me starting Thursday night and it’s been on and off since 😣 has it slowed or progressed since?

I had no other symptoms in my first birth until contractions
