Fireworks

I’ve been invited to a firework display with friends .. I’m 34 weeks and torn first time mum I have people saying to me yes go! And people saying it’s dangerous I did google it.. it says it may harm hearing but if ur past 30 weeks which I am it provides enough of a barrier to loud sounds 🥲 pls help has anyone been told it’s not safe? As what’s the difference in listening to them go off outside your house ?!

I’m going to one on my due date and went to one at around 38 weeks with my first and she was fine. Has no issues with hearing but I don’t know for sure it doesn’t have any side effects

Go to the fireworks!! Your baby will be fine, go enjoy the display x

I think you’ll be okay

Go…it’ll be fine ☺️

U should be ok to go.. during my pregnancy around 7/8 months i went to a drum n bass festival as my partner got tickets i didnt want to go but i was ok jus be careful no one bumps in to u x

That seems so odd. I wouldnt have thought of that. Like blasting music in the car or some people go to concerts pregnant lol I am sure as long as youre a reasonably safe distance you will be perfectly fine ❤️

You’ll be okay. I get the tube every day and some parts it’s over 100db just sat on the train. I went to concerts whilst pregnant with my first baby too. Enjoy yourself xx

Maybe someone will say I am exaggerating but I went to the cinema to watch a movie that had some very loud scenes and I regretted it... Baby started moving so much that it made me feel he was not comfortable and I got so worried. Because of that experience I personally decided that I won’t be going to a firework display this year

I was 30 weeks in 2021 when I was pregnant with my 1st and I went to the fireworks display and I felt completely fine other than the back pain from all the walking😂 but I was never told it wasn’t safe x

@Elisa you’re definitely not exaggerating everyone’s experiences are different and I understand why that would have been a concern for you x

I’d imagine you’ll be wearing a big puffy coat unless it doesn’t quite fit!

I am 33 weeks and the neighbours celebrated diwali and invited us. There were some fireworks with really loud noise and they seemed very unsafe. I didn’t like that at all

I personally think it’s fine as it’s a short period and you’re not exposing baby to loud noises regularly (like if you were working on an industrial factory floor). Went to the cinema when the internet said don’t because I simply don’t know when I’ll be able to go again and I figured you’ve got to let yourself live your life still.

Thanks everyone ❤️

I’m 35 weeks and I went last night. No issues what so ever. I asked the same question on here last week and thought just bite the bullet and go. Had an amazing night xx

I’m going in a couple hours at almost 36 weeks, never thought it would be an issue! Will be fine!x

You’ll be fine! Lots of padding for baby so it’ll just be a muffle for them.
