Newborn poop

I know breastfed babies can go days without pooping and babies her age cluster feed but I’m pretty sure my little girl isn’t getting full because she’s not pooping. She eats for 30-40 minutes and then death screams like she’s still starving. I know I make enough because I have replaced latching with pumping and I’m getting 3-6.5 oz in each pumping session and she will only eat 1.5 ounces before going back to sleep and waking about 30 minutes to an hour later to eat.

Actually breastfed babies usually poop more. Formula babies tend to poop less.

She may be constipated? Depending on what you’re eating as well that could be the case. Try doing bicycles and moving her legs around and stuff like that doing a belly massage . If that fails I would do a rectal temperature.

They shouldn’t go more then 3 days without pooping

Wake her if she falls asleep while breastfeeding. This can be done by taking off an outfit, changing diaper, or stirring her. My little one will feed again immediately if I do this. Lactation consult said he just gets too comfy in my arms and sleeps even if not full.

My baby didn't poop for 3 days. I started taking her to a chiropractor and she was stuck in fight mood. She is now a pooping machine

@Kendra Budd that’s actually not correct at all. Formula babies poop way more often than breastfeed babies.

My daughter only has watery poops that are a dark yellow and her dr said it’s fine my daughter also cluster feeds sometimes and it’s just new horns they are tricky
