Baby constipation

I recently got more consistent with giving my baby solids (purées). But now she’s constantly constipated. Is this just her system getting used to eating solids every day? Should I be worried? She is breastfed and gets plenty of fluids every day and she’s only getting 1 purée per day right now. But she hadn’t pooped in 4 days and then did a giant thick poop. And now it’s been almost 5 days since then. She doesn’t seem overly uncomfortable but I feel terrible.

I think it is her body just adjusting to solids, my baby was also constipated when we were first started and occasionally since then. Their bodies have to learn to digest things other than milk now. You could give her pureed prunes, that helped my baby poop within a day or so. But it was A LOT so be prepared😬😅

My daughter’s doctor said adding water to her diet will help with that. I don’t give it to her often, but when I notice she hasn’t pooped in a day or two/her farts are disgusting, I’ll give her a little bit to get things movin

@Chaan how much water do you give your baby?

Her doc said no more than 6 oz a day, but I only give her 1-2 oz. The occasional sip from my own

@Chaan thank you 🙂

Pear purée helps my baby’s

This happened to me and we always gave her an avocado when it went on for more than a few days and it always did the trick.
