@Jennifer, I think you’ve accidentally posted on the wrong thread. @ Incognito, I am going through something similar and I am also searching for answers. If you want to message me privately you can. xx
I don’t have the answer but I’m in a similar boat… baby was born above 91st centile and now at 14 weeks is sitting just above the 50th 😣 she hasn’t lost any weight but only gaining it very slowly (150g in 2 weeks) she’s EBF, seems full after each feed and my gut instinct is telling me she’s ok! I went to a feeding group and her latch was checked and that’s fine and I’ve upped my calories and water intake. She’s just gradually dropping down the centiles and I’m like when is this going to stop and plateau? I personally feel it was the jabs that threw everything off course! But I don’t think the red book helps, it causes so much unnecessary worry! My GP spoke to a paediatrician and he said he wasn’t worried because it was a gradual drop and not a sudden one 🤷🏼♀️ if she drops below this line I think I’ll have to go back. X
We're in the same boat. Baby girl was in the 91st centile, gaining 300g a week. I had her weighed yesterday after a month and she's dropped to the 80th and has only gained 200g. She seems happy, lots of wet nappies etc. Health visitor said not to worry and just go back in 2 weeks to see where she's up to. I've just started offering her feeds more frequently to see if it makes a difference
Not sure how much of a help it is but my lo dropped from the 35tg percentile to the 19th. I was told not to worry as long as she’s still eating and pooping and if she goes down again or stays on the lower percentile we will come up with a plan. I’m not weighing her til next week though now so not sure what the outcome one will be.
