@Lucy she’s asleep at the moment I’ll post when she wakes up. Her temperature about 37.7 . Calopl seems to keep it down .
@Robynne temp is fine for now but keep an eye. Continue giving fluids little and often to keep her hydrated even if that means giving icecream/jelly. X
@Robynne yes I’d say they are the start of pox. How long has she had them?
@Robynne yes that’s deffo pox! I still don’t know where my daughter got hers I’m assuming soft play as there was no cases in her childcare setting. I work in a school we had 10 children in 1 class of last week with it and some having it the week before during half term. I live in Aberdare but I have people on social media that I know of who live in other areas and they have children who currently got it so there must be an outbreak. I hope she’s ok!x
Have you got a photo to see what they look like? I don’t think you need to go to hospital unless her temp is concerning. If you’re worried you can phone 111 for advice. My daughter had them a couple of months ago luckily not lots of spots the majority for her were inside her mouth which caused the most trouble but the odd few she did have on her body I covered in calamine lotion soon as she woke. In the evening I was bathing her in aveeno oat bath soak and when she got out the bath covering her in lotion again and she never once bothered with her spots x
