BF and solids, no poo for nearly a week?!

Hey mums, my daughter is 8 months old, breastfed and having 3 meals of finger food daily, she used to be very regular with her bowel movements going multiple times a day, but the last few weeks it has been less and less. She hasn’t been since Tuesday, she doesn’t seem to be constipated or in pain, but should I be concerned? She won’t take food from a spoon so it’s tricky trying to get some prunes in her but I’m not sure if I should be worried or just keep an eye and she’ll go when she goes 🤷🏽‍♀️

Are you giving water alongside?

@Hannah yes she has water with every meal and at several points throughout the day

There's massages you can that can help with pooing you can look up 'massages to help with constipation in babies' it really helped with my baby boy when he was 2 months old and still helps him at 8 months old

Try some fresh orange juice to get things moving. She’ll go eventually, but something to keep a close eye on as they should really be every day/ every other.

I’d probably contact gp for some laxatives. Or maybe try syringe prunes instead and see if that helps

Some prune/pear puree should do the trick. We are having the same problem.

P fruits like plums and pears was what I gave my boy n he eventually passed although I didn't give anything else just breastfed because I wanted to help him pass before cramming any more in there, I found that it was the beef in bolognese and cottage pie that was blocking him up so cut down a lot on the meat and it's been normal poos since

A lot of supermarkets sell prune puree!! Give that a try, as it always helps my little one to go x

Tummy massage or use prunes or plum puree as a jam on toast

Thanks so much everyone! Without doing anything at all she went today thank goodness 🙏🏽
