Hi incognito, a friend and my sister both had ectopics (my friend lost one of her tubes) - my sister fell pregnant on her next cycle and now has a beautiful baby girl. My friend is currently 30 weeks pregnant with her rainbow baby following the ectopic xxxxxx

I had my right tube taken as well and it worries me that I won’t have another child. I’m grateful for my girl and always will be but I’m worried I’ll miscarry or not have another baby. But I always think what if. And I’m just wanting to hear stories and see how I can still have more babies in the future. It’s very dawning and I feel alone. But thank you both for sharing stories to me. Xx

I can’t imagine how difficult this must be. Apparently the remaining tube caters somehow for both ovaries - not sure if you were told that ? Xxx

@Charlotte no I wasn’t told that. I was told that every two months my left side would ovulate but I have a strong chance of having another due to me conceiving my daughter on the left. Xx

I had an ectopic with removal of one of my fallopians tube and now due to have my baby boy n the weeks coming x

My mum had 1 and lost a tube then had 3 more babies ☺️ I have a friend who has had 2 since as well ❤️

I had an ectopic in Feb this year. Lost my right tube. 3 months later, I feel pregnant again. Currently 28 weeks with my baby boy 🩵 x

@Natasha makes me feel hopeful that I can still have boys. My main worry was that I couldn’t have boys but this gives me so much hope that I can have a boy. I currently have a 2.5 year old girl and was wondering if I could have boys. Xx

@Lauryn I just get worried as the hospital didn’t really give help for future babies if I wanted any. They didn’t really explain anything to me. X

Hi, the eggs don’t determine the gender, the sperm carries the X or Y chromosome that would give you a girl or boy respectively. Therefore, you having a boy isn’t up to you but the father. Just thought this might help your worries 🙂

@Kiera I do know that. But people i know who have had the same experience as me have only had girls so it’s nice to hear from other people that they’ve had boys which gives me hope.

Sorry to hear you’ve been through such a traumatic time. Hopefully you were told that an ectopic pregnancy increases risk of another ectopic pregnancy but 10%, so 90% chance of successful intrauterine pregnancy. Also, your remaining tube can receive an egg from either ovary during ovulation as they are not fixed, which is helpful to know 😊 There are some really reassuring cases/ personal stories on ectopic pregnancy trust website. X

@Sami no I wasn’t told anything about risks or anything. I’ve had to do my own research about it. Thank you xx
