Burping

Does anyone else's baby cry and fuss when being winded? Mine screams as soon as I take the bottle away and hates being up on my shoulder/ chest for winding. I try make it as gentle as possible so not to upset his tummy. It makes feeding really difficult and stressful and makes him really awake during a night feed. I wondered if anyone else had this experience/ tips? Thanks

I am also having this exact problem with my little one!!! It’s so difficult so any tips hugely appreciated

Since finding out about a technique called ‘wonky winding’ it’s helped us a lot!

Yes mine always crys when we take the bottle away but is fine again once he gets the bottle back.

Every single time!! And quite frankly it's driving me mad at this point

Are you pace feeding bottles with a slow flow teat? If so you should hopefully not need to take the bottle away to burp halfway through a feed and can instead wait for baby to have a natural break

@Charley Yes we are. All I've read or been told is to burp after every oz or so to reduce build up of wind. Seen as he burps each time we do this, I'd be apprehensive to wait until the end in case he didn't get it all up and then had trapped wind all night. He writhes around when he has a tiny burp in there so would be worried to try. Thanks for your comment though, I might try it tomorrow day time ☺️
