Our little one does too (BF) We’ve been told from the doctor that it’s very normal whilst they still develop, as long as they’re doing lots of wet/dirty nappies and putting on weight and are okay otherwise shouldn’t be a worry
It is normal. Try keeping them upright after a feed for 30-45 minutes. Tough I know if you bf for 30 minutes (I'm in same boat with supplementing) I've found keeping her upright really helps avoid it.
@Charlie god I wish we BF for 30 mins. He’ll go for about 2 hours when we BF 😑 I find putting him upright brings up the same amount of sick 😑 I’m not sure if it’s too much sick that he has or not 😕
2 hours is a lot for a BF session, unless cluster feeding as baby will tire and expel more energy feeding than what they take in. Might be worth speaking to a lactation consultant/infant feeding team to see what they would recommend. Mine recommended capping at 15 mins/side to make sure baby girl didn't tire, then supplement- I'm never going to be able to fully BFeed though
@Charlie fair. .. we have been seeing a lactation specialist. She also said 2 hours isn’t normal but then she also said it can be normal as cluster feeding. … but yeh 15 mins each side he would be completely starving after !! But that’s good to know , thank you x
I’m going through the exact same thing. HV has said she’s tongue tied which is causing air to get in while she’s feeding. We’ve been referred to the tongue tie clinic and going on Tuesday to get it looked at x
