We read books, sing songs, he’s obsessed with our galaxy projector, input tin foil under his legs and feet for him to kick, practice holding different things but feel like I’ve repeated these a lot with him so would love to see what other parents are doing to keep them entertained
Sensory Flash cards, dance for them, walk around the house and describe what you can see, use your hands to make different shapes (it intrugues my little one), make funny faces, use a rattle, ‘talk’ to them through a soft toy, use a play gym, let them look at themselves in a unbreakable baby mirror, sing, watch small amounts of TV (if you wanna do screen time. I do all this with my 2 month old x
@Keisha exactly this ^^^ I’m doing all this too with my LB. A little screen time isn’t going to cause a problem at this age especially high contrast videos on YouTube
Play gym, tummy time, story book + looking at his brother being silly/looking at what we are doing around the house.
Tummy time, singing songs and lots of talking, he is also grasping so we have introduced some small rattles which he will shake for a bit to improve grasp
Following for ideas too
Play gym, crinkle books, putting her on my shins and flying her through the air, singing songs that have body movements (I sing a frog song while cycling her legs and pushing her knees up which is meant to be good for wind), laying her down to stare at black and white books etc
This link provides two new games for each week of age if that helps! https://www.babycentre.co.uk/a1011509/2-month-old-baby-games-second-week
Thankyou everyone!!
