Weaning reflux baby

Does anyone have any tips or advice about weaning when it comes to reflux babies. My first born was very fussy and colicky but wasn't really sick so weaning was fine but my daughter - 6 months has pretty bad reflux, and I'm finding it really daunting and difficult. I'm currently still giving her the normal amount of milk as its early days and this is what they advise but then when I give her some solids she ends up being sick because she's so full having extra in her stomach on top of her normal milk. Then I'm wondering if the food itself is causing her to be sick or it's just normal reflux... I did baby led weaning with my son but I'm more nervous with her because she will put teethers in her mouth and make herself sick so it's all just very different and harder this time ! If anyone is going through it too please share any advice.. just to add, she's 6.5 months and we just started, I waited until she was starting to practise sitting up abit more and because of the reflux made sure she was meeting the readiness signs. My first born now just over 2 years old had terrible reflux and the paediatrician recommended early weaning actually. It was the best thing we ever did! Her reflux stopped completely. I did purées for a few weeks first to get her stomach use to it and then BLW. I made sure to offer food a couple of hours after a feed (breastfed) & the reflux almost stopped overnight. With this little one she’s had a bit of reflux (on special medicated formula) We did the same thing, the reflux is almost gone but she had a few health problems. I don’t know if it will help but maybe starting with purées will help get use to the new favours / textures as it sounds like she may have a very sensitive tummy. Hope it helps ❤️x

Have you done any investigation into the cause of reflux? My son had awful reflux and it was due to allergies, so we avoided certain things while weaning due to this

@Charlotte we've had her checked for tongue tie, tried different bottles and teats etc, not tried the hydrolysed formulas because she has never had any of the other signs of allergies it's literally just the reflux and she's alwats pretty happy not uncomfortable with it x

@Victoria thanks so much! Actually when I've done porridge a few hours after her first bottle that seems to have stayed down I think maybe the other meals I've done too close to her previous bottle x
