I definitely think clarks are the best for first walking shoes, annoyingly they aren’t the best looking but with both of my children I have found them to be the most supportive. I waited untill my little boy was walking quite well before recently buying them x
I agree barefoot is best, my boy hates wearing shoes. He started walking at 9 months and we've only bought him shoes recently (13 months) to run around the park and shops in. I tried buying myself and getting "barefoot shoes" like sock shoes, flexible sole etc etc but they just didn't work for him. So we ended up measuring in Clarks with some pre/first walkers, but went through a few pairs of those until we found ones he liked. (He has big wide feet with a high instep 🫠 size 5.5H)
we went clark’s for pre walking / first shoes they isn’t much selection but they are great my little girl has had hers for 3 months and still in great condition x
We only use shoes for outdoor play but if you live near a start-rite we got his from there. We only got them when he was confidently walking but he still curls his toes in them
We got a little pair from Clark’s, she was measured as a standard fit but we got her wide fitted shoes so she has a little extra space. A lot of comments about Clark’s shoes not looking the best but I think they’re super cute! 🥲😂 never had problem with them, they clean up really nicely if she’s been playing outside and got them dirty x
We got our sons feet measured and then bought him a pair of Nike Swoosh 1 walking shoes x
Please do some research on shoes - and barefoot is best. Shoes should not be bought/ or worn until your child has been walking for a while and is confident. Barefoot is best, especially when learning
