How can I help!

I’m so sad and mad at myself and I feel like I can do so much more ! I posted a post about lactose or if my baby has problems with gas and stuff I figured it out she has very hard time pooping not constipated but she won’t push I understand she is 1 month old but I’m so sad and crying and devastated because I want to help her but I can’t I try pushing her legs up and use a Frida gas passer and that’s the only way she’s pooped but I can’t be doing that so much I feel like I will harm her what do I do 😞

Gripe water can maybe help

Look up baby feet massage on TikTok. It has something to do with pressure points, but it works about half the time for me. But if they poop after, it’s a lot!

My baby is the same, I give him apple juice and water mixed together 1 ounce my doctor recommended.

I feel you girl, it’s so stressful when you feel like you can’t help them. It’s normal for newborns to struggle with pooping though, you’re doing great. The thing that helps mine the most is the “happy baby roll.” Like the yoga move. I grab her hands and feet together with my hands and roll her side to side slowly several times. She likes it / makes her giggle but it also helps her poo. I’ll sometimes do gentle bicycles to her legs in between and then go back to the happy baby roll. Good luck!!

@Miranda I will try that position thank you And yes I’ve been crying just seeing her try and not relax her muscles down there and I’m more mad then ever with anyone just bc it’s hard for me to see my little one like that it was way easier with my boy 😞

Only give formula but you can try adding probiotics. Also switching formula as different formulas have different consistencies. Thinner ones help constipated babies, thicker ones help reflux babies etc. GLx

@Hope the thing is she’s not constipated her poop is normal not hard at all she just doesn’t push she knows she has to go because I can see but she won’t push or let her muscles loosen to push and pass

You can give 1 month old baby’s prune juice? I had no idea .. My baby went through the same thing it was really hard on me. I did the I L U massage and I would sing to her the caca song that I made up. But def switched her formula and now she has the runners. She’s 2 months.

@Artemisa I mean I’m at the ER at the moment and they said it was fine and this is Children’s hospital

@Ivett I honestly didn’t know. When my baby was struggling to poop I wanted to give her something but I was afraid. Hope your little one is doing better. Update the chat to see what they tell you or how they help with pooping.

@Ivett like I mentioned now my baby has diarrhea and her pediatrician is not concern but I am. I also hear her stomach and digestion and it sounds like water is just passing down pipes
