Hello, had same issue - 1. If over three days, best to give some lactulose 2. If doesn’t help, Melilax worked well. 3. I stopped giving verity of food a kept it simple until the digestive system got used to it. So for example vegetable soups all week. Only once comfortable on these, added some chicken, back on fruits etc 4. Probiotics helped a lot as well - Biogaia, kendamil sell also their own. 5. I also started to add prunes and mixing it into other food. Just one was enough per dish. 6. Also, common food like carrots and bananas actually cause constipation. Heard corn from a can helps as well - haven’t tried it yet though. 7. Lastly babies get scared of change in stool hardness, so spending each day to help the baby poop, massage, bicycle kicks etc
Had the same issue not long ago gave him a pouch of prunes and pooed that much it was near his shoulder blades 🤣🤦🏻♀️ definitely worked for us - brought one more pouch in case it happens again x
My LB has struggled with constipation since around 2 months. We moved him onto a comfort milk which helps with constipation (until they changed the formula 🫣 so alongside weaning we have had to be careful what what he eats. We have found prunes (luckily he loves them so do a pack every few days), water and Lactulose before bed. If he hasn't been for 2 days then we give him a morning lactulose (day 3) which works most the time. If he still hasn't gone by then, we have to do a suppository 😭 the next day. Before this point we have done massages, bicycle kicks, bath etc.... x
Definitely prune puree! Lactulose did nothing for my little one but prune puree made her poo 5 times the next day lol!
Prunes puree gets my little boy moving every time 😂
Definitely agree with prunes! I've also found weetabix tends to cause constipated with my LO, so I avoid that now x
Ella’s kitchen prune pouch, will work same day if not the next day
Have you tried prunes? You can either try a pouch or I just get a few and squish them up - it seems to do the trick every time. Also is he having water with meals? I’ve also noticed that if my LB has banana two days in a row it seems to constipate him. x
