Vaccines

I know vaccines is a slippery slope for most people. What’s your stance on it? I don’t get my children vaccinated anymore simply after doing much research and putting 2 and 2 together, it just doesn’t make sense to me. I don’t knock anyone who does. But what say you? And why?

It’s a no for me. Too many risks IYKYK 🫠

I got my first born some vaccines, because I just trusted her doctor, but after extensive research I pulled her from anymore and my second born won’t be either. I almost wish I never got most of the vaccines my first born had.

My little one has gotten all his vaccines so far, I’m not immune to measles (my body doesn’t respond to the vaccine) and his grandma’s body doesn’t develop immunity to chickenpox/shingles. So I figure he needs all the help he can get to keep him safe. I’m sure there will be ones I’ll put off or say no to, but so far I haven’t seen any credible concerns for the immunizations he’s received.

The benefits much outweigh the risks so absolutely yes my baby gets all of his vaccines (except 1). There is a lot of misleading pseudoscience out there, but a book I enjoyed is called the “vaccine friendly plan”. It’s a great read with a very neutral perspective that is helpful no matter which side you’re on. Because of this book I gave my baby all of his vaccines except for one which I decided to omit. The book also suggests an alternative schedule if you’d rather do that.

@Haley it’s definitely an IYKYK situation.

What do you mean “if you know you know?” What are we supposed to know?

@Hannah simply that some of us have taken the time to research about the harms vaccines can actually cause. I’m not here to sway anyone’s opinion. I just know, thinking about how many “new” vaccines they put out each year and all the foreign chemicals in them plus the potential side effects that they always fail to mention before injecting your child with.. it’s definitely something to think about.

I agree, I wouldn’t give my children any new vaccines like Covid. But the other ones like polio etc have been out for decades with loads of research that’s gone into them. They nearly wiped out all the fatal and life changing diseases because of those vaccines but now they’re on the rise and it seems to be because people aren’t vaccinating their kids as much now so we’re losing that herd immunity. I’m always interested to hear from the other side though to see what’s made people stop vaccinating

Our daughter has received all recommended vaccinations.
