Health visitor

I don’t have a specific health visitor. And saw one aaaaaages ago last time 😁

Mines the same. Not heard from them since she was 6 weeks old. Only a general phone number which dosent actually answer. You have to leave a voice mail and they only reply if they need to. It's shit. No specific one either

I haven’t even had a health visitor until last week at 5 months 😒 this was the first time after me calling them three times.

I have a specific one but I'm not really sure what she's supposed to do. She calls every so often and checks in but I've never called her

I have been assigned to one but I know from experience when you ring the general number and leave a message it's most likely someone else who will call you back. And by the time it's the 1 year review staffing will have changed and it'll be someone else entirely x

I only saw them when he was tiny but where I live they do drop in sessions at the childrens centers for seeking advice and weighing. They may be referring to something like that

Mine has been the same with both children, that's normal, they only tend to stay in touch or have regular appointments if you've requested them or there's a reason or concern for them to do so. They are always at the other end of the phone if you need anything though x

We haven’t had a specific health visitor or visits to us since she was newborn. We do have drop-ins though that we can dip into if we need - they are run at our local family hubs. You might have similar?

I haven’t seen the health visitor since my baby was a newborn she’s now 5 months. She said I wouldn’t see another health visitor until she’s 1 years old. With my first daughter (7) she was seen every 3 months.

Think it depends on where you live. I only had two visits but have the self weigh and been told to book a 6 month check and will have the 1 year one too. My friend who lives in a different county had the two visits and won’t see anyone until a year

I wouldn't worry about it, they're pretty pointless tbh! I opted out of the service, so haven't seen one at all, but can call them if I need anything.

This seems very strange i seen my health visitor, she went on holiday so another HV took over then they told me to book weigh ins in the childrens center which is done monthly to get my baby weighed and recorded in my red book which is where the HV meet me and discuss any issues or concerns?

Mine was the same. Saw her 3 times and she said “See you at 10 months” and that was the last of it all. I have left a message before for advice and nobody returned my call. I was diagnosed with PPA, PPOCD, and my GP is shocked at how little support I had through my horrific pregnancy, delivery, and my daughters NICU stay which has now lead to PPPTSD. Shambles of a system.
