@Jade thank you 😊 Looks bit scary !! Hopefully it goes in
Hi my baby girl has this hers hasn’t got quite this big yet. But doctor and hv confirmed it’s a hernia. Gp told me if it’s unable to be pushed in or it goes hard or any fluid comes from it then contact gp. They used to operate when child was one but now they’ve found it typically solves itself out by the time the child turns 5 x
Very common for them to reduce in size to a usual belly button size over time- I think they review it at around 5 years old to see what’s status it’s in if not mistaken so loadsss of time!
That’s a hernia
Heya 💕 My son’s belly button looks exactly like your little ones and he does have an umbilical hernia. It apparently is quite common as the abdominal walls behind it still need some time to close which causes the hernia. You can get an opinion from the GP also. We were told that if it changes colour, it is unable to be pushed in or bubba is in discomfort to take him to A&E. Apparently it will go in on its own in time x
