RSV vaccine

I got it honestly and had no side effects what so ever from it. Actually forgot I even got a shot 🤣🤣

I got it, and am hoping baby stays in for one more week to get the benefits- should have 2 weeks in utero after the rsv vax, otherwise baby may need to get it once born. No reactions & no soreness with that one. Tdap wiped me out!

I got the shot - no side effects. My niece got sick with RSV at 2 months old and it was very scary, so I was happy to hear that was a RSV shot for pregnant ladies.

i’m not. i’m very picky with vaccines and not comfortable with most new ones.

I was planning on it and now technically it’s too late. I asked my midwife/nurse practitioner about it last appt and she said she doesn’t recommend it?? Anyone else have this happen? I was a little shocked and upset.

I didn’t baby will get it when born. It’s more effective when given directly to baby

Not getting it. It’s new on the market and we all know how that went with the COVID vaccine 😂😑

I received mine a few weeks ago! I’m a huge advocate for these prenatal vaccines! I had my first baby last summer and recieved all the vaccines. My baby caught RSV at daycare around 4 months old and couldn’t have handled the virus any better. She didn’t need any sort of hospital visit or additional medications or breathing treatments. My husband was actually affected by it more than our baby (he didn’t get the vaccine obviously). I didn’t have any negative side effects from the vaccine last time or this time around. If your baby is going to be around people this cold and flu season I would so strongly recommend it :)

@Rachel I’m in the same boat for the COVID vaccine as my OB office doesn’t offer it and I waited too long to do it myself! I believe that the vaccines aren’t effective for unborn babies if recieved my mom after a certain timeframe. I could be wrong but I feel like I remember reading that!

I got the rsv vaccine.my OBGYN office didn’t carry it but they wrote me a script (which I didn’t need) so I could get it from my local pharmacy. Went in and got it from CVS no charge. My sister in law is a pediatric dr and recommended it since the little one will be born in sick season. I’ve had no side effects so far. If you want it I would make sure you ask for it ASAP, a lot of places don’t carry much stock of the one recommended for pregnancy, so they had to order mine which took a day or two

I got it and the flu shot and had a fever and was so sick for 2 days after them. I can’t tell you which one caused it but in hindsight I just don’t know how I feel about it still.

I didn’t get it and baby won’t be getting it either. It’s too new for my liking, but that’s just my opinion

After seeing two of my friend’s babies in the hospital with RSV, I definitely got the vaccine. My OB’s office didn’t carry it either, maybe they don’t at all? I went to the pharmacy and got it. I passed on the COVID vaccine though 🫤

I got the vaccine at 34 weeks and did not experience any side effects.

While I agree @Daniela, check with your provider. There’s been a shortage right now for newborns and the vaccine. Many pediatricians haven’t been able to order it unless the baby is considered high-risk from RSV.

So it wasn’t around my last pregnancy and so I’m not sure why they trying to convince pregnant women we need it now. At first I was going to get it but then when I questioned it more and realized how new it was and no true results on if it even helps I’m not. Like another post said they’ll be better getting it after they are born if anything

I got the flu, tdap and rsv I just spaced them all out and tried to nourish my body extra when I got the vaccines. I never had any side effects from any of them. I did not get a Covid vaccine as I had Covid at 25 weeks and figured that was enough to pass natural antibodies to baby. Since he is being born during the peak of sick season and my parents have to come visit us via plane I just thought it would be best to pass along immunity to baby so he doesn’t have to receive any shots.

I got mine at 36 weeks 3 days, felt a little tired and crummy the next day but that was it. I feel like I got it a few days later than I should have but at least the antibodies will pass through breastmilk too!

I decided not to get it. I’m a nurse and understand the risks associated with RSV, but the vaccine is too new for my liking. There are also several research articles indicating the risk of preterm birth (which is why they recommend getting it later in pregnancy now) and higher risk of developing Guillain-Barré syndrome (which has never been shown to be associated with RSV itself). One manufacturer even stopped trials earlier this year because of potential preterm birth complications. I did get both TDaP and the flu vaccine, but just wasn’t comfortable with the RSV one.

I turned it down, it’s a tough decision either way . Both come with risks, you make the decision best for you and hope for the best.
