Is your little one breast fed or formula fed? Try tummy massages. Does he stop crying if soothed? Does he cry during feeds? X
Could be CMPA. They were several of our symptoms.
@Joanna thankyou! I looked into it and I think it’s infant dyschezia! He was breast feeding at the start which I know has a natural laxative to help him poo, but since moving to just formula he’s struggling but it’s not constipated (people like) I bought freidababy wind relief, it’s worked amazing but also read not to rely on it and let him learn by himself, thankyou 🫶 poor baby’s!!

@Kelly I think as adults we struggle to imagine learning little things like that, everything is so new to them eg learning to poop, learning how to go to sleep. Yes back around 7 weeks old my girl went 4 days w/o going so I used the fridababy windie, an hour later we had results. Amazing tool🤣I always find sitting her in a squat position in between my legs works as well, sitting her in the bouncer (poop chair as we call it) or a bath x
Could it be reflux? My girl sounds like she’s straining when she has reflux. If not there’s something called infant dyschezia where they don’t know how to poop and strain/ grunt trying to figure it out. It’s really common because they need to learn to relax their bottom end whilst pushing and they can get quite frustrated because they tense up too much. My girl has this and goes bright red/ cries, she’s done it since she was born. They figure it out eventually, but unless their poop is like hard pebbles their not constipated, just struggling with coordinating the right muscles xx
