I am just doing a party at a church hall with some food and they have toys I can use from the baby group they do there and I am making a cake for my little one also
I'm thinking to take my daughter to a butterfly farm, it's indoors and warm (perfect for January) and she will (hopefully) be amazed. Maybe cake at home with family. I figure I have many years of extravagant birthday demands ahead of me so take the opportunity to keep it casual 🤣
We are going to theme it around “Wild One” and make it a safari theme. The local soft play is called the Zebra Den and is zebra themed. I’ve not go much further than that and that I want her to have a huge tiered cake. As I love cake.
Ive got a cake smash photoshoot booked - part of my bump to 1 package. On her actual birthday im think8ng im gonna take her to an aquarium. Undecided about a small party. My family are ins Scotland and that's a bit of a sore subject as it is and I only have a couple friends where I live so might just do a soft play day out
Silly question but... I'd love to do a cake smash but my little boy has never eaten cake. Have yours tried cake yet? Maybe I should let him have some. X
@Becky my little one hasn't tried cake yet she's not really into things like that, I've offered her a try of things like cookies and chocolate and she turns it down but she does like to get real messy with food so I know she will enjoy a cake smash lol
My LB loves sharing a bit of cake with me if we’re out on occasion so I’m going to bake him a baby friendly cake and we’re doing a cake smash at home! Don’t really have much money with his birthday being the 2nd of Jan so focusing on Christmas as lots of family and friends are busy around new years so gonna have a family day just us and his dad ❤️
I’m having a little cake smash party at home just with close family my SIL is a photographer so will take some photos. I’ll be 37 weeks pregnant so don’t think I’ll have the energy to do much else 😖
Probably also spend majority of it crying 😅
Birthday party at home with close family and friends - as his is week or so after Christmas and due my other baby 3 weeks after
Think maybe a tea party with close family at partners mums (our flat isnt big enough). We don't have enough younger kids in the family to do a party elsewhere, and a day out seems unpredictable with the weather/time of year x
I’m thinking a small party at my house for friends and family at the weekend but maybe a farm day on her actual birthday 🤷🏻♀️
@Sarah aw i love this idea❤️
@Siobhan same i cry when she gets a month older never mind a year x

Thank you :)
Thankyou for the ideas girls xx
I wish I knew. I have no idea. I've messaged someone to do a family photo shoot with a cake smash but they haven't replied 😔 I never did a pregnancy shoot or baby shoot and feel I really missed out so want to mark his 1st with something memorable
