@Monserrat thanks for this, it's so worrying! Also frustrating that you just don't know why it's high but it can be so damaging! X
My SIL had a high reading on a home visit so they tested her husband too and his was fine. Apparently she had lunch not that long ago and the midwife said it might be picking up the wrong reading.. never heard this before but was all was okay in her case xx
I’ve had the following readings: 8 weeks: 2 12 weeks: 9 16 weeks: 4 18 weeks: 2 The reading at 18 weeks was in my home so they said they are not concerned at all and suggested that it could be the case that I’d been sat in traffic fumes etc on my journey to the appointments that had higher readings. I was also asked if I’d had any chewing gum just before the test, so I think a lot of things can throw the tests off, but they also aren’t always calibrated properly so try not to worry. As long as you have carbon monoxide alarms in your house you can’t do much more than that to stay safe!
@Amy thank you for sharing, it is good to hear that I can be normal for this to happen x
I would definitely get a gas engineer out on the safe side x
@Saff yes they are coming tomorrow!!
I had the same thing and got the gas people out and there was no leak. I had been to London the day before and apparently it can be pollution x
Hi! Mine was exactly the same as yours, on my 16th appointment my carbon monoxide reading was 8. So I bought new CO detectors and placed them around the house, it turns out the alarm never went off. So there was no leakage from home. I did have no clue why I got high readings. Anyways, on my 25th week appointment my reading was 1…
