My little girl is 6weeks and is struggling to popped she lets out very stinky farts but no popping
It’s been a couple of days now since she last went
Is it normal?

How are you feeding baby? For BF babies it’s normal to only go once a week! I do a tummy massage clockwise gently with the palm of my hand on my LO and he will usually poo within the next hour
She’s BF and sometime bottle
My GP and HV advised me it’s normal to go a week, however if it’s longer or they seem in pain with a hard distended tummy then to see the GP

We had a period of this with our boy as well, I think it really is normal. A few days isn’t worrying. But I think if it gets 5-7 days ask your health visitor to pop in and see you. My boy would go every two to three days and as the weeks have gone on he goes that wee bit more. Things that help him go are a bath, and some time in his vibrating chair 🥰 Hope the little one has a bowel movement soon! 😙
