Consultant
I have had a letter for my 20 week scan on the 4th of December and a letter for the 5th of December to see a consultant.
I’m just wondering if this is normal to see a consultant as I thought they only did that if something was wrong with baby.
This is my first pregnancy and at my 12 week scan I was told everything looks as it should and the test for Down syndrome, Edward’s syndrome, etc came back as a low chance

I was also told I'm low risk
My midwife has just got back to me and said it will be because of my medical history (struggle with mental health)
Consultant appointments are usually off the back of detail you gave in your booking appointment. I had to see on as I pretentiously had treatment following an abnormal smear
Ah ok interesting. TBH I don't think my midwife had a clue why id been referred to a consultant when I asked her
