Weaning

Hey everyone, my baby started solids a few days ago. She still has 4 bottles of breastmilk a day (around 180mls each) and 2-3 sips of cooled boiled water in morning with breakfast and in evening with dinner. Her poop has changed (which I know is normal). But she is really struggling to poop. She isn’t constipated because the poop is soft, but she’s still struggling. For anyone with this experience, will this clear up on its own as the bowels get used to the new food? Or will I need to introduce any home remedies/offer more water? Thankyou in advance

Absolutely normal, you're going to get some pretty crazy nappies when weaning 🤣 their little bodies are just getting used to digesting something that isn't liquid. Also, just FYI, tap water is fine from 6 months. X

@Rachel Thankyou!do I stop boiling it at 1 year old? X

No, no need to boil after 6months old according to the NHS 👍

Absolutely normal, my lo can go a little while without going seems like she’s struggling then eventually goes, she’s 8 months now, fruit really helps especially prunes, we offer her water a lot during the day, weetabix for some reason makes her go 🤣, warm baths, tummy massages etc.
