Poop frequency

Hi folks! My 8 month old recently moved up to two solids a day (we are giving a mixture of purées, mashed up fruits/veg, oatmeal). She has been a pooping machine which makes sense given the uptick in solids but today she has pooped 4 times!!! Is this normal? Are other folks experiencing this? Just wanted to double check (mom anxiety)

Girl my son also been pooping frequently I thought he was having stomach bug smh 🤦🏻‍♀️

Yep. Our 8 month old also had a couple days where she pooped 4x a day. I was also frantically googling but it seems like it's normal and also it's again back to 1x a day now.

I think it's normal. My son poops at least three times a day, sometimes four, and it sounds like we have a similar feeding situation in regards to foods consumed. More important, i think, to be aware of what it looks like than frequency.

Very normal ! Also it’s a lot better for them to poop multiple times a day then be constipated!! My daughter poops probably 3 times a day on average

Here I am going DAYS without poops freaking out thinking he isn’t pooping enough (and has SUCH stinky toots) since starting solids!😅

Thank you all for the input!!!

My 8 month old son pooped 1-3x a day before he started solids. After eating solids, he still poops the same but sometimes its 4-5 times. So its normal lol:)

Very normal. My 8 month old eats 3 jars a day mixed with cereal and then has a formula bottle. He was getting rashes so we gave him water with his meals to help keep him regular

My baby poops 4x a day. One of those is always in the bathtub 🙈 lol

@Jo 🩶 My breastfed baby poops about every other day! I've been feeding her solids 3 times a day and she's still not pooping ever more than once a day

Yes definitely. I wouldn't be that alarmed about how many times they poop a day unless it's diarrhea because then they could possibly get dehydrated. My son poops anywhere from 2-5 times a day. Perfectly normal. I'd rather him poop that many times than be constipated and in pain. 🤷🏼‍♀️

@Elizabeth haha oh no! Thankfully I've never had to experience this...yet. 🤣
