Can someone give me low stimulation movies/shows for me and my toddler to both enjoy?

We are sick and in that I’m doing unlimited screen time and eating whatever as long as she eats I know I’ll regret it when we aren’t sick anymore but we don’t even wanna get out the house rn as it’s so cold and we don’t wanna spread our illness and I’m not gonna force her to play So PLEASE give me recommendations on movies and shows we can watch together that aren’t overstimulating! Thanks :)

I just don’t wanna keep watching Clifford 😭 I need enjoyment too lol She’s 15 months! I usually don’t do much screen time besides when I’m cooking or doing chores but I don’t even wanna get off the floor and I’m not gonna force her to play when her head feels like a balloon to her lol

Spirited away

The tiger who came to tea film x

Puffin rock- netflix Bluey- disney plus Tumble leaf- amazon prime.

Little Bear (some episodes can be found on YouTube for free) is a great show for when you're sick.

@Liv omg I didn’t know it was a movie too !

This is not a film but my daughter loves watching YouTube videos that are titled things like “Best music for cats - 12 hours of music to calm stressed cats - anxious kittens love calming music - sleepy cat music” Studio Ghibli films are pretty chill, maybe Ponyo, howls moving castle, Kikis Delivery Service

BTW I have all services besides Apple TV! :)

Second studio ghibli. Also land before time, secret of nimh, don bluth animation is pretty tame

@Rhiannon as you say that we are watching 98 hours of baby animals in winter wonderland and soothing music 😭😭

So my daughter really likes story bots

Over the moon on Netflix is super cute I’ve played that to get my daughter to sleep when I need a nap lol Disney has some of the old mickey and muppet Christmas movies which is such a vibe

Octonauts is good! Brave little toaster idk if it’s low stimulation but it’s fun

I watched sound of music recently with my toddler and she loved all the singing plus it’s like a 3 hour movie lol

Daniel tigers neighborhood is so good it has tought my toddler so many things on how to treat others and our emotions its free to watch on the PBS kids app on your tv or tablet

Alphablocks is great for that age.

Puffin rock, Bluey, Kipper & Peter rabbit.

@Tish it’s so good! My daughter’s obsessed with it!! X

Hummingbird feeder livestreams on YouTube.

Does anyone got any mommy recommendations that she may also watch? 😭😭

We loved spirit riding free on Netflix. Its not too stimulating.

Trolls movie on netflix. On Disney+ you can watch Elemental, Inside Out, Moana, Brave, Up, etc

Bluey! Enjoyable for mummy too! 😂 not sure if you would get them in the US but magic light films of Julia Donaldson books - The Gruffalo, The Gruffalo’s Child, Stick Man, The Smeds & The Smoos, Tabby McTat, Superworm, The Highway Rat. I love them all ☺️ - they’re on prime video in the UK I like someone’s suggestion of the sound of music, my eldest watched it when she was 2 and was obsessed with “the lady with the bells” 🥹 Mary poppins would probably be good too!

My daughter loves the new adventures of Winnie the Pooh

I'm enjoying the Christmas classics right now (Frosty, Rudolph) I'm not sure how low stimulation they are bur gi en the type of animation I think they'd be ok

Another Ghibli vote. My two year old will watch Kiki’s Delivery Service or Totoro any day of the week. Very relaxing, beautiful with lovely music and I enjoy them too. They’re all on Max.

Bluey! Daniel Tiger Any oldish Disney movies Aladdin Little mermaid Show white Cinderella

Second some UK options! - Sarah and Duck - Alphablocks - Numberblocks - All the Julia Donaldson as mentioned above - Bluey (I know not technically UK) - Peter Rabbit - Hey Duggee - Charlie & Lola - Jojo & Gran Gran - Something Special - Clangers - Moon & Me - Twirlywoos - Timmy Time

Bluey is too stimulating for my toddler. He loves it but won’t fall asleep during it. Lilo and stitch, monsters inc, brave, inside out are all good

@Abby yea we don’t watch bluey cuz my daughter gets warped into it but it is a lovely show

Bluey

anything Studio Ghibli. my favorites are Spirited Away, My neighbor Totoro, Secret world of arriety and Ponyo. Little Bear is one of our favorite shows

@Izzie they’re animated so well, and calming for little ones we love them too !

Bluey or Peppa pig

Little Bear! We watch on YouTube. They have short little episodes as well as a movie.

I like non conventional movies, hard to find unfortunately - the first snow of winter - unce upon a forest - Thumbelina - quest for Camelot - the life and adventures of Santa Claus (2000) - hedgehog in the fog - https://youtu.be/xa4kDds9ex0 The last link its a russia animated movie. I know it's in russian but its just so cute even to look at. Enjoy!

My toddlers favorite right now is the Peanuts (Snoopy) movie.

- Noah's island - The animals of Farthing woods (even though some scenes were a bit too much) - the swan princess ❤️ Don Bluth filmography ❤️❤️ - All dogs go to heaven - the land before time - an american tail - Anastasia

Land before Time! Little Bear or Franklin have a couple hour long specials on YouTube kids I put on

@Silvia oooo I used to watch quest for Camelot so much beloved core memory❤️ forgot about it

@Heidi I just love these non disney ones! I make sure to remember these shows to watch them again with my daughter 😍

@Heidi omg land before time!

We like frog and toad and trash truck, don’t think those have been mentioned yet

The only show I watch that I’ll also let my toddler watch (and she requests often) is Great British Baking Show 😅 It’s pretty calming too!

@Emily I usually watch Gilmore girls as she’s not interested in it and it’s not violent at all but I’m bored of it since I reached the 6th season lol
