Anatomy scan pain

is it normal to feel bruised after an anatomy scan?? i had mine yesterday and this is my first baby but i feel super sore and bruised where they were pushing the probe on my stomach. i don't see any bruising but it hurts when any type of pressure is applied.

I had mine yesterday as well and due to baby’s positioning they dug in more than I’ve EVER experienced. I’m a little sore as well and baby’s been more active since so that’s not helping either. You’re not alone!!

For the anatomy scan is it a vaginal ultrasound?

@Jianna no, it was just on the outside but they were pushing pretty hard and i'm so sore today

I just had my anatomy scan yesterday and I feel so bruised too.

The tech who did my scan was super gentle with me but when he finished he asked if his student could practice on me. I said yes and she was digging the probe into my stomach so hard I had to ask her to stop because it hurt a lot.. so I know what you mean. It will be okay though, just sore for a couple days. Nothing that can harm baby.

😔 I've never felt bruised from an ultrasound. Like we don't have enough discomfort with pregnancy as it is! I did have to change sides and walk around a bit to get him into the right position for some of the heart images, stubborn bugger.
