My baby loves There’s a Tiger in the Garden. Mainly I think because I do different voices for the different characters and he finds it funny 😅 for a more soothing book he likes Blown Away which has a nice rhyme to it.
Our LB loves the Twinkly, Twinkly Bedtime Book by Sam Taplin. Found it more calming than others we have tried and he likes to flicker the little lights on it x
We haven’t had a problem with a ‘play book’ at bedtime as it’s inclusive and more interesting for her / we like ‘oh dear’ by rod campbell the best and some of the lift flap books from jellycat - she picks her own every night and it’s usually the oh dear one which we read in a calming voice and works quite well xxx
We have ‘play books’ for bed time, pop up books or ‘that’s not my’ x
