I'd wait until at least 8 weeks as then you should be able to see little arm and leg buds xx

The early scans help to reassure you the pregnancy is growing in the right spot and that everything is as it should be. At this early stage, it varies what the scan may show. You may see the yolk sac or you may get to see tiny baby. Heartbeat may not show til 7- 8 weeks. I managed to see baby and heartbeat at 7 weeks 3 days.

I’m 6 weeks today too and I’m in on the 3rd December for an early scan with the NHS the midwife asked if I wanted one with it being my first baby and I said yes but I am also diabetic so not sure if that was the reason she asked so early x

I had one at 8 weeks and couldn’t see anything baby like 😂 then had one at 10 weeks (I had a little bleeding) and I had a little hand waving at me 😂 was such a difference in just those short weeks! With both scans I was just happy to know the pregnancy was going all ok.

I’ve booked an early scan when I would be 8 weeks exactly. I was told before that the risk of miscarriage reduces significantly after the 8 weeks mark, so I thought it makes sense to wait a bit longer.
