Please give me some advice

I’m so angry so I had to end up having an emergency c section with my little boy on Wednesday he is in the neonatal ward at the moment and I did not actually get to meet him until about 2 in the afternoon I have gone onto to Facebook tonight and seen that my mother in law has put on Facebook that we had our baby and a photo of him at 10 this morning so before I had actually met him and I feel so angry towards her I haven’t spoken to her yet I don’t know how to go about it like

That's unfair and wrong for me no one should have met the baby till you and dad had seen and spent time with baby and especially when it comes to announcing the birth that should be down to the parents unless they have stated someone can post it. But for me I would ask her to remove the post and explain why your unhappy xx

@Lucy thank you I started to freak out and get myself in to a state thank you for helping me xxx

So firstly congratulations on the birth of your little boy 🙂🎉. Secondly, and there is no sugar coating this, your MIL is a dickhead. She has not spared you a thought. Personally I would need to let it all out (however it comes) either directly at MIL or through your partner (who I hope is just as angry). I would personally need to do this or I would just end up bearing resentment. 5 minutes of pure expressed anger. Then go back to what is important - your recovery & your baby! And make her take the photo down.

@Yolande thank you yes I am getting my partner to ring her tomorrow morning because I will say something what would make it ten times worse and thank you baby boy is recovering well 🩵

Hello, I’m so so sorry - this is so incredibly insensitive and you do not need the added stress!! I think it’s a good idea getting your partner to call her. Sending you lots of love from one NICU mum to another, I had my boy on Sunday via emergency c section and he’s on the neonatal ward too - I hope you all get to go home soon xx

@Georgia thank you I hope your baby boy is doing ok sending all my love xxx

Thank you, just dreaming of the day we bring him home 🤍🤍🤍

Congrats! Your MIL was obviously very excited but no consideration for you and your partners feelings. I'm sure once she has been explained this to, she'll understand and remove the post for you to share your private announcement when you are ready. Personally, im going to ask people to always ask my permission before putting a photo of my child online. So you could use this as an opportunity to set some other boundaries x

Eugh, awful, sorry you are dealing with this. Ask her to remove the post immediately! Who the hell does she think she is! She'll probably say smt like "but I am just so proud", she didn't carry this baby and most certainly other people shouldn't get to enjoy him before you do!

Urgh this made me angry just reading it so can't imagine how you feel. Sending a hug. Totally agree that you need to let your MIL know all the reasons this is so so wrong, and probably best via your partner. I'd insist she take it down. Sending love and well wishes for you and your little one in NICU x

Wow!! Unbelievable! I'm so cross for you! Agree with @Yolande you need to let her know in no uncertain terms or you will become super resentful. Honestly what is the matter with people! I hope you're both doing well xx
