Thank you❤️
Some things like nausea and heartburn, went away right after birth. Other things like hip pain and joints popping took more time since they are mostly caused by hormones. Those hormones need time to go back to normal. It’s not as bad though.
Frickin instantly. It was such a nice feeling having my baby OUT. They are better out than in. The only thing that lingered for a couple of weeks for me was the carpal tunnel in my hands. Everything else was amazing - and I’d had an emergency caesarean! I felt more comfortable recovering from a caesarean than I did during pregnancy.
For me, pregnancy symptoms went away at birth- but you have over aches and pains like contracting uterus surges while breastfeeding, body aches from labor, milk regulation pain/discomfort, and for me pain from my tear. I say this not to scare you, bc it's worth it, but to just give yourself grace. Oh and sure to hormones, night sweats sucked and I learned to sleep on a towel so I didn't soak the bed.
I suffered ligament pain, carpal tunnel and sciatica. It was all gone directly after birth. I never had these problems before but lo and behold. It’s all back with pregnancy #2. So…. Hoping it’s gone after birth again.
Restless legs went away rather soon. heartburn I didn’t have but I know that immediately eating was easy and normal without the baby pressure on the organs. Ligament pain may linger. It will not be as acute since the weight of the baby is gone, but your body is going to take time to heal. I would say I felt brain and body “normal” around 4-6 months but I still needed to work on my abs and general aches and pains because of breastfeeding and the changes the abdominals go through. Long story short, getting the baby out makes a huge difference but it will still take some time, depending on your body and how you move, to get back to that places where you feel like yourself again.
