Early scan

I'm 6w+4d today and I'm debating on booking an early scan at 8 weeks+. I did this with my first and it was a positive experience and definitely helped put my mind at ease. The issue I'm finding is that the only appointments available to book means id be closer to 9/10 weeks+ and then 2 weeks later I'd get my 12 week scan anyhow... I just can't decide for some reason 😅

I would probably still book one🤣but I have zero patience lol Are there no other places you could go to that possibly have earlier availability?x

I had a scan at 6 weeks and having another one at 8 weeks because of my history, but as it’s with the NHS there’s none of the niceties you get with a private scan so tempted to book one of those at 10 weeks (assuming all is well next week) ahead of our 12 week scan in Jan

I had one yesterday, I booked the appointment same day at window to the womb! I should have been 6+3 but measured 5+6 and was still able to see babies heartbeat 💓

@Andrea sorry to jump on - did they have to do internal or external for so early?

You can book a reassurance scan with ‘Window to the womb’ from 6 weeks! I have my first one on Sunday!x

I had a 9 week viability scan at WTTW with my son 2 years ago and have booked one for this pregnancy too in 2 weeks when I’ll be 9w2d. At that point they said it didn’t need to be internal which I was glad about. So now this time I’ve just booked for the same time frame again as before.

If your under 10 weeks it’s usually an internal scan (they say it on the WTTW website) x
