Nub theroy and gender scan

I had my scan read for the nub theroy at 13 weeks and I've had multiple results for girl. I went for our gender scan 2 days ago at 14+4 and we got told its a boy. What's the chances it would be a swollen girl instead of a boy at this gestation? I'm absolutely gutted as this would be my 3rd boy. I was also told they're measuring 5 days ahead for their head circumference and 1 week 6 days ahead for their length. I'm so devastated so please be kind.

@Star nub theroy result at 13+1

boy

So an app? Sorry I'm so uninformed on these things 😅

@Star no, its called the nub theroy. That's the result I got.

Sorry, but usually if they are unsure they will say we think it’s a boy/girl but can’t say for sure, if they’ve told you it’s a boy then they are likely to be pretty certain.

Before 16 weeks nub theory is only around 40 percent accurate and it is not a proven theory. If the gender scan is saying it's a boy it is more accurate but 14 weeks is quite early for a gender scan a lot of clinics won't do a gender scan until 15 to 16 weeks

@Annabel I'm not even sure what gestation the swelling would no longer be there if it was a girl. I know everyone's saying boy but when I analyse my first and second child's scans, they look nothing like this one xx

If you are unsure about it, my advice is wait until 16 weeks and go for another scan, gender scans can be wrong this early. So you never know

Your nub shot does show girl however Looking at your potty shot, this is very much a boy. I’d be surprised if this was swollen girl. X

A lot of private scans won’t give a sex until 16 plus 4 as the nub can still rise. I’d be more inclined that it’s a boy with the potty shot as girl would have the straight line. Sorry you are disappointed.
