Keep your knees together when rolling in bed, getting in and out of bed and the car etc. With my first I crawled in and out of bed rather than bum shuffled towards the end of the pregnancy. Pregnancy ball in the evenings when watching tv really helps rather than sitting on the sofa and just gentle bounces/sways/hip rotations, see if you can self refer to physio for it if not ask your GP they can give you some simple excercises to help it
Their are some good videos on TikTok regarding how to sit, move in bed etc. I found them really helpful
I found keep moving helped. For example my commute from work to back home was an hour, getting out of the car- my pain would be 10/10 and i would lie down and that made my body even more stiff and pain worse. What i do now is even whilst i am driving- i am doing kegel, swaying my hips, moving in my seat. Once i am home, i get out of car carefully both legs together and instead of lying down straight away- i get myself busy in the kitcken- keep walking and moving and it made a huge difference for me.
My PGP started when i was 22 weeks- i was so scared that its only gonna get worse. I am 28 weeks now and things are alot better. I spoke to my MW as well to refer me to physio but the appointment is gonna take place somewhere in January
@Palwasha Shahab please where can I see the video
I saw a physio yesterday, I think these have been covered mainly but: - Knees together when moving around in bed - Support pillow between knees in bed - Sit down to do shoes/dress - Supportive desk chair - Try not to lift too much - No heavy shoes (this is my opinion but has made a difference!) - Exercises (side lying clam leg opening with band around knees, hip bridge with Pilates ball between knees squeeze hold, squeeze Pilates ball between knees on back hold, lie on back one knee bent towards chest and push ball against knee whilst knee pushing against ball). Terrible descriptions there sorry! - Support band on hips - Ask partner to put pressure either side of your hips (push together) whilst lying down to relieve tension - Then yoga/pilates/arnica cream/physio to release tension!
Not pain relief as such but I’ve been wearing heavy winter boots and today changed to lighter trainers and I’m wondering if that’s helped a little
