Ironing

My daughter is in a daycare that has a uniform. I iron it every week. Starch it too. BD was over the other day and I asked him to do it, and he said he has never iron ever in his life. He legit didn’t know how. And I had to show him. We are 34. I just thought that was crazy. To not use it nowadays, sure, but to have never used it and not even know how to. Wild. Ok that’s it. That’s the post. Not bashing him, just thought it was crazy. Everything I’m saying here is said to him in the moment and I taught him. He was happy to learn

Oh wow. I used to iron a lot when I was young!

@Jocelyn I know same here!!

So crazy! I even have a small iron for my small living space. My guy thought it was weird and crazy I wanted to dry clean my MK purse that got a little bit wet in the closet during the hurricane. It was definitely salvageable. He even thought that it was gross! Like who does that Just buy a new one he says and threw my pair of Michael Kors purses away and hasn't replaced them! I'm using a black set right now, but nothing compares! Like yeah it was time to upgrade or whatever one of the MK purses was a little worn but you couldn't tell I had a scarf for the handle. Anyway ... Men are so weird!

@Jocelyn me too! I started ironing around 12 years old I would sneak and iron everything. I started out in Catholic Schools so we can to have clean uniforms. IDK ... My Dad ironed his clothes so did my Mom.

I literally cannot believe you are ironing daycare clothes 😅😅 But anyway I don't iron and hubby does. I can make it happen if I have to but I've probably ironed less than 10x in my life.

I went to catholic school, I even polished my shoes 😂😂

@Ella I iron them because the shirts get really wrinkled. It’s noticeable. And would look so bad otherwise. The jumper doesn’t really need to be, but the shirt for sure has to. She’d look so untidy otherwise.

My partner has never used an iron and would be the same.
