I had in my mind that I will go for natural until I started being anxious last week. Spoke to my midwife and she made an urgent referral to obstetric. I am seeing the consultant today. I am still in 2 minds as I am very much aware that the recovery period for a CS is much longer.
I’ve opted for a natural birth up until my due date and if I haven’t gone into labour by then, have a c-section booked in!
I’m having a home birth but in the case baby is getting closer to week 42 I’ll have a C-section as I don’t want induction xx
I had to have a section at 34 weeks with my first so was going to attempt VBAC this time. However, my mum just got a cancer diagnosis and is due yo start treatment so I opted for a section as she was my childcare for my 3 year old, plus I started to feel very overwhelmed (just moved house too). So I spoke to the obstetrician who was lovely and we agreed booking a section would help me plan and control the controllable. I feel better for being able to make a plan, although a little disappointed to not be able to have VBAC, ultimately the safe arrival is all that really matters x
I have GD so was told I could either have a planned c section or be inducing at 38 weeks. I opted for a c section and it's booked for this Wednesday. I really did like the thought of being induced but also aware my recovery will take longer. It's hard to know what to do for the best because you can't really control what's happens in labour. Would love him to come naturally !!! I will get to hold him in my arms on Wednesday so I'm very excited 😊 x
Since recovery is longer for a c-section, my husband can’t get longer than 2 weeks off, I wouldn’t have the support I’d need so I’m hoping for vaginal route as much as possible. I’m not against c sections, I’ll have one if I need one! It would just be harder for recovery for me
Both are fine but I wanted normal delivery only and I did so if you are in that position where you find everything is fine like baby’s position, your health and everything then in my option normal is the best coz you can recover bit quickly. Rest leave everything on god that time you and doctors can see the situation and baby will come either c or normal. So relax and enjoy rest of the time Xx
Thanks everyone! They told us the baby is slightly smaller and have called us for induction next week. I’m slightly nervous as they said it could take up to 3-4 days. Not sure what to expect. I’ll try for natural unless a c-section is needed.
My first was breach so the option got taken away for natural birth so this time round with my second I opted for a c section as that’s all I know turns out baby number 2 who will be delivered tmro is also breach 😅 x
