First period after birth

I am pretty sure I’m having my first period after having my baby. However my cramping is minimal, but the bleeding is a lot. It’s definitely more bleeding than any period I’ve ever had but not as much immediately after my c-section. I just want to check if this is normal or if I should be concerned. I’ve been discharged from my midwife and it takes a while to get in to see my doctor. Any info will be appreciated. Thank you.

I had my period for 9 days , just finished, my small one is almost 3months , this was my first period after the birth and it was very heavy and i was bleeding a lot

It’s normal to have a heavier period after a baby currently on my first one now since my c section xx

@Chardonnay I have very mild cramping or pain though. Almost none. Did you experience this as well? Just a lot of bleeding.

@Tanya I have almost no period cramp pain. Which I thought was weird and made the bleeding a little concerning.

I was told it’s normal by my midwife! I literally just finished my first period since having my baby via C-section about 1.5 months ago. The bleeding was a lot more than what my periods used to be like and I had some light cramping also. It lasted 6 days for me.

It's normal if it's the first period. I was also caught off guard lol 🤣🤣 but now my periods have become heavier and longer and the PMS is so intense. Compared to being a light bleeder and very irregular periods.
