I’m feel ya! My son popped his first 2 teeth at 4.5 mos and just stopped at 8 teeth, and just turned 8 mos old. He was such a good sleeper prior to teething. While he’s still taking great naps, the sep anxiety at night means I’m constantly with him and have no me time (I also have a toddler so I don’t get time when the baby naps). It seems he may have gone from teething, right into a sleep regression. It’s tough! Thank god for babywearing, since he was never a baby to want to be held, but now just wants me nonstop. My best tool was keeping my kids distracted when they were teething, since they were/ are sensitive teethers and Motrin barely scratches the surface. Plus frozen milk or fruit in silicone feeders for comfort. Do you have a partner or support to help you during this phase?
@Jess it is tough especially when they are teething. I do try and take her with me when I need to do things but unfortunately I have suffered with back pain and sciatica since giving birth so it’s not easy or comfortable for me to carry/ have her in a carrier in the day time. I am lucky enough to have a very supportive partner, he does so much when he’s not at work.
I remember going through this period and it was so rough. I had to hold baby all the time and couldn’t get anything done. But once her teeth erupted, she was so much better. Now at 13 months she plays independently most of the day and doesn’t want to be held at all.
