Calling all people with black/ mixed curls!
My son is mixed and has lovely curls but the back of his head feels a bit dry. I currently use the African pride dream kids product range and the oil cream seems to work slightly but it hasn’t resolved it.
Please recommend good oils or other hair moisturising things to try.
His hair only gets washed once a week where I do a leave in conditioner too.

Try camille rose. I love their products too & might be better suited for you Also when you start to use a toddler pillow you can use silk pillow case
Thank you so much. How often should I be putting oil in his hair? I did as much research as I could before he was born, still learning though. Will take some time to perfect it :)
I’m not sure about how often but I prefer to use hair creams (like blue magic) as I find that they’re a lot more moisturising. I usually use oil after washday and oil her scalp when braiding

I like black magic hair cream, but I can’t really tell how thick your son’s hair is from the picture, it might be too overpowering depending on the hair texture. However my daughter has a really thick, curly Afro so it does well with moisturising her hair
