Braxton Hicks?

I’m 32+1 and last night I woke up to the worst pain in one side of my pelvis, I thought it could be braxton hicks but it threw me off because everywhere online said braxton hicks are usually painless? this pain was so bad I wasn’t able to talk through it, it wore off after a minute or two and I was able to get back to sleep, anyone else had anything similar?

I had this on Sunday!! On and off for about 30 minutes, while stomach tightening and cramping pain, at really really active, lower back burning. Suddenly accompanied by an urgent need to go to the loo 💩🙈 sorry if TMI! then it passed…. I couldn’t talk through it. I am 32+5. I think this was a braxton hick!?

@Cliona not TMI at all it’s reassuring to know someone has gone through something similar! everyone is saying braxton hicks which would make sense I just find it bizarre how painful this was, I had the shakes I was in that much pain - and yes my back pain was in agony too!

They can be painful despite being told otherwise, as long as they aint following a pattern and getting closer together and becoming stronger than they can be classed as Braxton Hicks, however if you are worried you should phone the hospital just to get checked over

A couple of times I’ve woken up in a lot of pain in one side- not cramps. Slowly sat myself up and moved a bit and it eventually relieved its self. I think it was just baby in an awkward position

I had this the other day and then I realised baby has moved head down maybe as the kicking/movements have changed places now. So maybe it was your baby moving positions. Mine was painful that I couldn’t talk and thought I was going into labour!

@Sophie this sounds exactly the same, I felt as though I could feel her head move position

Monday morning I woke up 32 weeks and 5am I had really bad braxton hicks but i genuinely thought i was in labour. They wore off after 7am and then I was ok
