I've literally bought everything now and due two days after you 🙈 I would look up some lists online and try finding lots of second hand things on Facebook marketplace place if you can!

If you’re planning on buying a travel system I’d do that first! Mine is taking 6-8 weeks to come!

Car seat is urgent if you’re planning to drive home from hospital. Pram Nappies (we went for reusable ones) Milk bottles (we have 4) Somewhere for them to sleep (Moses basket) Nursing bra Maternity pants (Tena/always disposable pants or reusable ones) Nipple balm Breast pads 5 muslins 8 baby grows Warm snuggle suit for taking baby outside in the cold Baby hat + mittens Blanket Cheeky wipes (or wet wipes)

Pram/travel system + car seat. We have a moses basket and next to me crib, a couple of packs of nappies size 1 + 2, wipes, few bits for bath time I.e wash, shampoo, lotion etc. muslin cloths, baby grows/sleepsuits (0-1 and 0-3), body suits (0-1 and 0-3) got a lot of clothes from Vinted so I’d definitely recommend looking on there as all are like new and in such great condition and price! 8 bottles (I’m planning on combination feeding, holding off from buying a pump until baby is here). We also got a feeding pillow and changing mat/basket. A lot of things like the changing basket, Moses basket and play mat/gym I got from Facebook market place and it’s all in great condition but saves a lot of money. I’d also recommend a few blankets and a pram suit (we have two, a teddy bear one which is quite thick and a 2.5tog for the pram) baby carrier if you’re planning on using one. I’d definitely recommend shopping about and looking at Vinted or marketplace!

Here's my list of essentials. Car seat Buggy suitable from birth with cosy toes Moses basket or crib for the bedroom Warm blankets *2 Cellular blankets *2 Snowsuit Cardigans *3 Sleepsuits/baby grows with inbuilt scratch mits *10 Short sleeve vests *10 Hats *2 Size 0 nappies Size 1 nappies *2 Box of baby wipes Nappy cream Nappy sacks Bottles and newborn teats (we used MAM so we didn't buy a steriliser) Pre made formula bottles with teats (in case we didn't get breastfeeding established at hospital) Changing mat Baby bath (we liked the Schnuggle) Some kind of bag for baby stuff (or just repurpose one you've already got) Breast pads Maternity pads or tena pants CHOCOLATE and crisps 😂 For the baby stuff I can't recommend buying second hand enough. Newborn things get worn so few times before they're outgrown that they're usually immaculate. We also ended up buying loads brand new with tags from Vinted where people had been gifted stuff and not used it. Look for bundles and it works out cheap as chips.

Ps this is based on what I learned after baby number one. I ended up with far too much stuff first time around and felt like I was drowning in baby gear 😂

I haven’t bought anything yet but this is my second child so I have a lot from the first time round. I honestly wouldn’t worry just yet. Take your time 🥰
