@Tina in your future I wish you the easiest most positive birth experiences 💕 don't let your fears stop you from trying for another baby. It almost stopped me.
17 months ago with my first emergency section and 2 weeks ago had a planned section, I was so so scared and the only thing scary was how scared I was that was it! everything went absolutely fine it was calm my son was pulled out to the victorious sound track😂! so i was just crying and laughing! I didn’t sleep for 36 hours before my section out of pure fear and he’s here home and it’s been an absolute blissful two weeks🩷
@Lillie congratulations 💕
I had an emergency c section unfortunately, but my recovery really wasn’t all that awful! I was surprised! My mom & my sister had both had two c sections each so I had all their tips during recovery which definitely helped out! Biggest recovery tip would be get up and moving around as soon as your body feels capable, but don’t push yourself! You know your body best! If you have stairs you’ve gotta get up & down, walks sideways! Taking stairs straight on pulls the muscles that are trying to heal in the complete wrong direction, but if you take on stairs side ways your muscles are moving in a way that doesn’t tug against what’s trying to heal. Doin self massaging over the scar is also super helpful with getting things to flatten back out a bit! And hydration!! & protein!!! Are the main focuses diet wise
@Parker 又 thank you so much for the stairs tip especially! Baby and I with be setting up in our basement guest room for recovery as mu daughters play room is down there with a spacious bathroom thay has standing shower. I have dogs so I think being downstairs will be easier on all of us lol
@Breana thank you! I’m expecting my second and trying to get into a better frame of mind about this. I wish you a safe and positive delivery as well!
I also want a planned C-section for my next one after having a horrible emergency experience. I have heard from so many moms that a planned one is so much more relaxing and easier to recover from. I am thinking that is all to do with the dr having more time to operate and such.
Ive also heard it's like a night and day experience 🙌 my obgyn will also most likely be the one doing the surgery which offers me some comfort knowing who she is. I don't even know who performed my emergency one because staff changed so many times and it was so hectic
Omggg this is my same situation. I wasn’t officially diagnosed with PTSD but I had a HORRIBLE emergency C-section…ended up hemorrhaging and almost lost an ovary 😭 I want a planned C-section for the same reason and honestly have the same concerns as you. I really don’t have any answers for you but I wanted to comment because it’s like I wrote this post 🤯
