Fun activities

mine isn’t into toys either. i try to include him in whatever i’m doing. he’ll play in the laundry basket while i’m folding. i let him dig through the tupperware drawer when i’m in the kitchen. tupperware is his favorite 😂 i’ll give him an envelope while i’m going through the mail, etc. we do a lot of books too since we’re still not doing screen time. basically anything that encourages him to independently explore. he does like blocks tho. we stack and knock them down. he can do that for ever

She just had her bday party so luckily lots of new toys. My mom got her an activity cube that’s pretty cool, she loves blocks and this grocery cart she got. She got a xylophone and a bunch of other musical stuff. Sometimes I run out of things to do as we also aren’t doing screen time but she always likes emptying things out. She’ll empty out my dresser drawer, bathroom cabinets, Tupperware out of the kitchen cabinets and laundry out of the dryer lol. She empties all the stuffed animals out of her basket and takes all the books off her bookcase. I run down the hall and have her crawl after me. Will probably start going to the library that just opened down the street

Going on walks and going on the swings at the park is my favorite :) indoor wise my girl gets excited when we see her pushing her walker around lol and she’s been banging toys together a lot lately so I’m thinking of buying or even doing a diy of maracas/drums.(which you can do with rice and container of some sort) she likes handing us things and I’m getting her and her big sister a play kitchen so she can serve us food😂 she throws balls around so I’m getting her and her big sister a foam pit that comes with a climb set since they’re also at the age where they want to get on everything. I agree with above as well include him in everything you do

we got the nugget couch and chunk (ottoman) as gifts for his birthday, he LOVES it! i think i would recommend the ottoman over the couch if you had to pick only one. i can update again tho to tell you if it’s something he keeps playing with over time or if it’s just fun for a few days
