Hi mummas, I have been prescribed Seroquel for anxiety and insomnia as my pregnancy has progressed my anxiety is getting worse and worse by the day. I just want to hear some other positive experiences on it if anyone has?

I have been diagnosed with chronic PTSD and have honestly suffered for years before considering taking this medication, I declined it for a long time until now at 36 weeks pregnant I just need something to be able to get to sleep at night. Doctor has told me half a tablet when I need it at night and it really really helps and I feel great every time I have it but I have a irrational fear of becoming dependent or addicted to it especially as I know I will need it for post-partum times too. Does anyone have any tips on how to take a medication like this not on a regular basis and get the best result from it?

Probably not helpful but I refused to take this as when you give birth you have to stay in hospital for days to be monitored. Ask your midwife this now to double check

Unfortunately I do not have a specific midwife and there is no number to call to ask these questions too. My next appt isn’t till almost 39 weeks but the OB has said I will go into labor before then. Do you know if your partner is allowed to stay with you in the hospital at this time ?

In the UK it’s only visiting hours sadly Do you not have a number for the birth unit at the hospital?
